USA v. Khan, Ali Aftab

[DMA] Aftab Ali allegedly gave $4,900 to failed Times Sqaure bomber Faisal Shahzad through the informal money exchange system, hawala. The complaint does not allege that Khan knew what the money would be used for. Khan has been charged with immigration fraud and making false statements. In April 2011, Aftab Ali pleaded guilty and was sentenced to time served, 11 months, and three years of supervised release.
