Imam Johari Abdul Malik, Chair of the Coordinating Council of Muslim Organizations (CCMO), gave this sermon in November 2004, at Dar al Hijrah, a mosque located in Falls Church, Virgnia. The mosque has been a place of worship for notable terrorists and extremists including Abdurahman Alamoudi, who attended the mosque before his September 2003 indictment for illegal fnancial dealings with Libya, and Hamas political leader Mousa Abu Marzook, who attended the mosque while living in the United States.

Abdul Malik: People even under the pressures that you and I know about, the deen of Islam is growing because people see even within all of this struggle it is better to be a Muslim under these conditions than to be a kaffir under any conditions... before Allah closes our eyes for the last time you will see Islam move from being the second largest religion in America-that's where we are now- to being the first religion in America.
