Independent of his guilty plea in Florida for providing nonviolent services to associates of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Fariz also admitted committing wire fraud and money laundering in Illinois. Fariz was sentenced to 51 months in prison, which he served at the same time as his 37 month sentence from the Florida case.
