[EDPA] Sadek Koumaiha and seven other defendants purchased stolen merchandise, including Sony PlayStation 2 systems, laptop computers, and cellular telephones worth hundreds of thousands of dollars from an undercover law enforcement officer. The indictment further alleged that some of the defendants also purchased thousands of dollars worth of counterfeit goods, namely Nike shoes and a variety of brands of cellular telephones. A Superseding Indictment filed in December of 2009 added 2 more defendants, Ali Abbas Abou-Khalil and Kassem El-Sibai to the case.
