[EDNY] A federal indictment charged al Qaeda operatives, Adis Mendunjanin, Abid Naseer, Adnan El Shukrijumah, Tariq Ur Rehman, and Fnu Lnu in connection with plots to bomb New York City's subway system, a busy shopping mall in the city center of Manchester, UK, as well as a newspaper office in Copenhagen, Denmark. In March 2015, Abid Naseer, a Pakistani national and co-defendant in the case, was convicted for his role in the U.K. plot to target a shopping mall.
