[DMA] Rezwan Ferdaus was charged in connection with a plot to damage and destroy the Pentagon and U.S. Capitol, using large remote controlled aircraft filled with C-4 plastic explosives. Ferdaus, a U.S. citizen, was also charged with providing support and resources to a foreign terrorist organization, specifically to al-Qaida. In July 2012, Ferdauz pleaded guilty to plotting attack on Pentagon and U.S. Capitol and attempting to provide material support to terrorists. He was sentenced to 17 years in prison in November 2012.
