US v. Jacquelyn Barnette a/k/a Jameela Barnette

Atlanta resident Jacquelyn Barnette was charged in October with sending a threatening message with a hoax note referring to "Zyklon B" gas. But police officers killed Barnette Dec. 25, 2011 after responding to panic alarms in her Marietta apartment. Officers opened fire after Barnette allegedly opened the door armed with a knife and a handgun and made an aggressive move with the knife. Charges against Barnette were ordered dismissed following her death.
