[EDNY] Quazi Mohammed Rezwanul Ahsan Nafis (Nafis) is accused of attempting to detonate what he believed to be a 1,000-pound bomb at the New York Federal Reserve Bank on Liberty Street in lower Manhattan's financial district. Nafis was charged with attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction and attempting to provide material support to al-Qaida. He is a Bangladeshi national who entered the U.S. in January 2012 on a student visa. Nafiz pleaded guilty to attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison for attempting to bomb Federal Reserve Bank in New York.
