Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL)

[DAZ] Abdul Malik Abdul Kareem was charged on three counts for his alleged involvement in a May 2015 attack outside a Prophet Mohammed cartoon contest in the Dallas suburb of Garland, TX. Kareem allegedly provided firearms to the two men who carried out the attack and talked with them at his home about the planned attack. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) later on took responsibility for the attack. Kareem was indicted again in December 2015 for allegedly conspiring to set off bombs at the University of Phoenix Stadium during the 2014 Super Bowl. Kareem was convicted of conspiracy to support ISIL and other terrorism-related offenses. Kareem was sentenced to 30 years for conspiracy to support ISIL and other federal offenses.
