[DMN] Mahdi Hussein Furreh was charged with making a false statement in connection with a terrorism investigation. According to the indictment, Furreh lied to the FBI when he denied knowing anyone by the name of "Adaway" even though the name was listed in his cellphone address book. The indictment stated that Furreh, in fact, knew "Adaway" was a nickname for Cabulaahi Ahmed Faarax, a Minnesota man who is at large and is accused of encouraging local Somalis to travel to Somalia and join Al Shabaab.
