This is an insightfull and excellent article.

Looking at Islam from a sociological point of view, Women are placed on a different tier than men not equal and of different status.

The social constructs regarding the general treatment of women are concerning in Islam, in that women must be covered, women may not be alone with other men, many countries impose further sanctions on women such as forced marriges, lack of education, lack of opportunities in employment.

It seems that on some levels women are property, no different to cattle or sheep. (This is not just indicative of the Islam regigion howver)

Brainwashed women state that its their choice, however (the underlying construct is to benefit men)

The problem with this (and with most religions) is we have a somewhat "good" book or teachings, only to have it open to the interpretations..........of............IDIOTS!

I fail to see how one can justify in any religion the sexual servitude or denegration of women!
