When you have a president who is 1/2 Neville Chamberlain and 1/2 Jimmy Carter this is what you get...add to the mix two successive American (?) apologists at State, both vying for the presidency and you arrive at an atmosphere of political desperation where everything is thrown against the wall in hopes that something of merit will stick and make its way into a campaign brochure.
