Why curry a relationship with those whose goal is solely world domination by Islam?

It would seem far more productive as a means of reducing terrorism to make an enormous effort to fully inform the clerics and political leaders in Islamic organizations and States and persuade them that the Protocols of the Elders was a construct of the Soviet propaganda machine designed to do what it has done. For all I know, President Obama might have read it and thinks it true.
