What an over simplification of matters, which no one will truly ever know except Allah. Everyone sins, even those who think that they are sinless. Prior indulgence in porn as a motivating factor for self-purification through jihad is a flimsy argument. To reduce the motivation to end one's life through Jihad in some form to one type of sin, namely porn, is defamatory of militancy and its adherents; and is merely hype. I think that brother Hamza was looking for reasons less apparent than the exhausted political ones, like that of foreign policy presented by Esposito. However, he needs to dig much deeper than that and seek to rationalise to the wider public the role that minions and their agents play in the evoking cognitive dissonance and intelligibility of reality. That is what he is good at doing and should focus upon that and he will ultimately arrive at the havoc the Shaytan and his armies are wreaking on all levels of society, the physical and metaphysical; the spiritual and the political. That is the essence of Tawheedic thinking to which all reductionisms or grand interpretations of reality should return. Zuhdi Jesser does not know any better and his ranting, like ours are held in a divine record. What God has ordained for humanity, good or bad no one from it can detract.
