Time to quit generalizing the basis of the Islamic threat

Abigail makes the same mistakes she accuses the NYT of doing, i.e. generalizes. Militant Islam and the Islamic Jihadist problem derives from one simple source, i.e. the Qur'an. Abigail and others writing of the Islamic problem would do well to quote the problem verses from the Qur'an on which the militant and radical Islamists justify their violence. It is time to do so - and quit generalizing.
