I would like to see more writing by Chesler here. She is one of the few writers who focus on the middle east from a feminist perspective. Without that perspective the analysis is shallow. She has done so much original research on this issue and has published it in many Journals which I have used. She also wrote her own memoir titled: An American Bride in Kabul as she had the unfortunate experience of marrying into this quagmire.
