It must have been in the summer of 2008 when my mother and I finishes some shopping in the Albert Heyn shop in the town of Huizen in The Netherlands. My mother, 92 at the time, stepping oit of the shop on the pavement of the street, was almost knocked over by a few cyclists. The oldest of them must have been 12 years of age and to me they looked like Maroccon boys. On the pavements in The Netherlands cycling is prohibited. My mother told the boys the boys that they were not allowed to cycle on the pavements. This was their reply: "Damned you, old woman, you whore, you just watch it, before you know we will rape you on the street and when we are older, just watch we will have our Kalifaat in your country." I was furies and got hold of one of the boys by his arm and tolg him to apologize to my mother. He refused and got his mobile and in a few nutes there were about ten of these boys around us, trying to intimidate my mother and me. But the fact that I gold hold of one of the boys apperently scared the other ones and after a while they disappeared. I took my mother home, where she sat down, also furieusly about what happened. The second time my husband and I where enjoying a glass of wine in our back yard on a Sunday afternoon, whne we heard someone shouting on the street with swearing words. We opened our porch and asked this young men, who had a Maroccan face, to temper his voice. He the spat in my husbands face and told him that he would (....) my husbands mother and that he would (....) me. My husband told him to go away or else he would shoot his head off. We do not have arms in The Netherlands butwe wanted to scare him and he took of. We called the police. The came to our house and asked us: "Are you sure that you want a police report? Because before you know, you will have 20 Maroccans in your backyard." And we said: "Yes, we are sure." And then the police began elling us how afraid they were of these young aroccans and how afraid they were to make a police report. Two days later some big concrete stones from the street were thrown in our backyard and one again we called the police. And once again they told us how afraid they were. Our complaint was eventually dismissed. These two incidents have changed my outlook on the Dutch Police and the Moslims forever. I have now decided that I will not step aside anymore if moslims are walking towards me on the pavement. Instead< I will look him into his face eyes and tell him: "Beware, I am not a dimmeÿ. This is my country." Pia van der Molen The Netherlands .
