To Patriot,

Thank you for the note of support. I have been teaching part-time at UCI for 12 years and have witnessed many of the events sponsored by the MSU. Many of their speakers are not only anti-Israel, but anti-US and anti-Jewish as well. I was also present at the Oren event, and it was disgusting.

I can also say that the Jewish students at UCI have always conducted themselves with dignity and grace in the face of these attacks.

No matter where one stands on the israel-Palestinian issue, it is no excuse for a resurgence of anti-Semitism, which we are seeing world-wide including the US and Canada. Jewish students on university campuses should have have to attend school in this atmosphere. What is needed is for the rest of us to speak up in defense of our Jewish students and citizens. I am sure that if the public is aware of what is happening on our campuses, they will do the right thing.
