Reader comment on item: CAIR Rep: Violence Shows It's America That Needs to Change

"How many more coups … until we realize that we need to take a principled stand, and a just stand, to make sure that we respect human rights, sovereignty and dignity all over the world." Well of course, the principles of the UN's Universal Declaration of Human Rights are inferred perhaps as a matter of convienience. Let's forget for the moment that Arab Spring started with anti-Government protests and magically shifted to anti-American protests the latter of which encompased a diversity of motivations derived from Al Qaeda terrorism to a hoax movie clip proving only two things: (1) in the Age of the Rant - rumors manifest outcomes faster than truth can be processed and investigated and (2) oh yes - we live in the Age of the Rant where protestors just protest because he or she is protesting so I'll just join the crowd. So, what do fads and entertainment have to do with human rights? Perhaps we should look at human rights in more detail. I will be breif. Human rights are entitlements, goals and caveat. Food for everyone is a human right. The goal is to feed the World's hungry. People who deny human rights are usually people who want empowerment.
